We are the Liu family: Tarn, Marisa, Rini, and Rayden. We were born and raised in Hawaii and have been serving as overseas missionaries for nine years in Bangkok. We were saved and discipled in Pearlside Church in Hawaii for many years and served in many different capacities within the church, such as a service overseer, campus ministers, director of operations, small group leaders & campus pastors at one of our church sites.
Before moving back to Thailand in 2015, we had the opportunity to be part of short-term mission trips to other countries, as well as Thailand. When we came to Thailand, we felt God leading us back to be long-term missionaries.
Thailand is one of the most unreached nations with a population of nearly 70 million people. It is predominantly a Buddhist nation with less than 1% professing Christians. Despite being a Buddhist nation, we have seen God move in so many ways throughout our lives and the lives of the people that we are ministering too.
Currently, I am the discipleship pastor at Every Nation Church Bangkok, where we have been serving for the past seven years. We have also been involved in campus ministry, engaging students through leadership development in our L.I.F.E. TALKS which stands for Leadership, Integrity, Faith & Excellence. Since the pandemic, we were still able to build relationships within our community, hold outreach events in our neighborhood, and start a kids ministry in our house.
In this next season God has opened a huge platform for us to minister and reach more students and more families in the school community our kids are attending. With all that God has been doing, we are praying and believing for a future church plant in the next coming year.
