My life is a testimony to the unmerited and unrelenting faithfulness of God. Once upon a time, I was a good church kid; I led the Bible studies, went on mission trips, etc., before leaving a church rocked by scandals. I resolved that organized religion wasn’t for me, so I went off to college to pursue my own kingdom but soon discovered that this too was vanity. I graduated with a Master from the University of California, Irvine in 2018 and taught at a community college back home in the San Francisco Bay Area from 2020 to 2023.
But God encountered me at a protest in the summer of 2020, which was when He began revealing His heart and plans for me and my life, I had been invited to a virtual ENC Bible study based out of Washington, DC. The following summer, I felt the call of God to move to DC to enter deeper into a spiritual community. Having joined Grace Covenant Church, Brookland, and ENC DC in the fall of 2021, I served part-time on campus while continuing to teach online. Having seen the faithfulness, grace, and mercy of God in my own life and in that of our students, and realizing that He alone can redeem and reconcile the human heart, I answered the call to full-time campus ministry in spring 2023.
Our motto at ENC is “Change the Campus; Change the World.” Together, we can reach campuses across DC, the greater DMV area, and across the world, truly making disciples of all nations!
