We are a family on mission with Jesus in Portland, Oregon! As one of the most beautiful, innovative, and yet ‘un-churched’ cities in the U.S. (according to a 2015 Barna survey), we’re convinced that Portland is also one of the most opportune cities in the world for reaching many, many people with the Gospel. In fact, we’re so convinced of the potential harvest that lies before us, that we’ve literally moved our entire little family (all five of us!) across the globe to have finally arrived in Portland. (Shirley and I actually met and eventually had all three of our children in London, England.)
Vision-wise, our primary focus in Portland consists of planting a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, and socially-responsible church in the heart of the city, while simultaneously reaching and discipling students on the campus at Portland State. It’s a daunting task to be sure, but God’s grace continually proves to be more than enough! Just as He also continues to faithfully provide more than enough finances and encouragement through the generosity of our amazing ministry partners — people just like you!
