Despite growing up in a religious home in Central Oregon, I didn’t have a personal relationship with God; I was just a regular sinner-kid. But, that all changed when I encountered Jesus through a student-led movement in my high school. Through that campus ministry, I began a relationship with Jesus, but also with Alisa, who is now my wife!
After receiving a degree in Spanish from Texas State University in 2004, I went to work for Every Nation in 2005, helping to plant a campus ministry at my alma mater in San Marcos. I served as the southwest regional coordinator for Every Nation Campus from 2008 until 2015.
During that time, I also helped plant The Springs church on the Texas State campus in 2008 and served as the church’s lead pastor from 2009 to 2020. I’ve had my hand in church planting, campus ministry, but also in world missions, as I’ve been blessed to participate in various Every Nation missions efforts in Latin America.
As of October 2020, I took on a new role in order to better contribute to our same global mission. I became the first member of our national evangelism team and now serve as the Southwest Regional Evangelist. I serve to energize existing campus chapters and churches and help to break open new doors for new churches and campus ministries. Additionally, I serve churches and campus ministries in our Latin American region in a similar capacity.
My wife and I have the privilege of parenting four wonderful children: Haddasah, Asa, Alma, & Bethlehem. It’s a great adventure!
