After being part of Aletheia Church in Boston, MA for 11 years and serving as the student director there, my family and I have transitioned to the role of a church planter. For as long as I can remember, my wife and I have felt a call to serve in communities similar to our upbringing. Neighborhoods that have higher than normal average crime rate, higher than the national average poverty rate, and under-resourced schools.
It is our prayer to see these neighborhoods changed by the Gospel. In the past few years, God clarified that dream more and more. In the Summer of 2021, we took the plunge and moved to Savannah, GA to plant Rise Up Church. God made it clear that Savannah was where he was planting our family and we could not be more excited to see what God wants to do here.
At Rise Up Church, we desire to see people encounter Jesus and for his love to infiltrate their lives. Through God’s word, God’s spirit, and God’s people, we desire to see people discipled, students reached, families empowered and neighborhoods revitalized. Our deepest prayer is to see whole families and neighborhoods changed, not through gentrification, but through gospel transformation. We are overjoyed to be a part of what God is doing in Savannah, GA.
Thank you so much for partnering with us as we plant Rise Up Church.
