I, Mario was born in Santo Domingo and grew up Catholic, trusting in my own efforts to please God. Thankfully, He won my heart with His grace when I was 16 years old. Katie, my wife was born in Virginia and gave her heart to Jesus when she was 6 years old. We have both grown up in the church, serving in kids and youth ministry as well as campus ministry and discipleship.
We met on the first Ten Days Mission trip to Santo Domingo when my church became a part of Every Nation. Katie and I kept in contact and a year and a half later, we were married! We moved to my hometown and served as campus missionaries for two years, while Katie was learning Spanish and Dominican culture.
We both have a heart for students and advancing God’s Kingdom across the country and other nations in Latin America. During our ministry in Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, we noticed that many students lacked healthy multigenerational communities. So God called us to plant a new Every Nation Church in Santiago de los Caballeros, the second-largest city in the Dominican Republic.
To receive more training, we have relocated to the USA to become Church Planting interns at HighPoint Church Orlando. We are really excited to learn, grow and then be sent. With your partnership, we are going to engage more students, train and equip more new believers, and continue to reap the harvest of future church planters, campus missionaries, and godly leaders.
