I am serving with Second City Church as a Campus Missionary to students at UIC (University of Illinois Chicago), Elmhurst University, Moody Bible Institute, and other colleges in the Chicagoland area.
While finishing my undergraduate at Moody Bible Institute, God gave me a heart for students in Chicago and a deepened heart for the nations. The role of a campus missionary is to engage and equip students with the gospel, making disciples who teach others to make disciples.
Why Chicago?
More than 25 colleges and universities are located within a 10-mile radius of downtown Chicago.
Why Students?
Students come to college from all over the world. At UIC alone, there are over 100 countries represented. By reaching the campus, we are reaching the nation.
As a campus missionary, my role is...
-Oversee small groups and discipleship process among students
-Lead weekly campus meetings
-Initiate campus outreach and evangelism
-Train and equip student leaders
-Continue to serve in the local church (Second City Church)
-Inviting students and others to grow in their walk with Jesus
"we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory" - 1 Thessalonians 2:12
God has already been working on these campuses (UIC, Elmhurst, DePaul, Columbia, and MBI) to advance His kingdom, and it is a privilege to be a part of it.
Your partnership, both in prayer and financially, makes this ministry possible. Together, we are co-laborers for the gospel of Christ in the Chicagoland area and to the nations.
