Hi there! My name is Elisa Castronovo. I grew up in Bonney Lake, Washington and after graduating high school I left to attend Western Oregon University in pursuit of an ASL/English Interpreting degree. I grew up with American Sign Language being my first language and had Deaf/Hard of Hearing parents which led me to become an interpreter; however, after a year in the professional field, I quickly realized how much my heart still burned for the campus and for spreading the Gospel to unreached places. I was blessed to have known who Jesus was at an early age, but I had a lot of things that happened in my childhood that led me to step away from Jesus going into college. I rededicated my life to Jesus my junior year of college and it was through campus missionaries who helped me as I redirect my path closer to the Lord. I was a part of Oregon State University, Western Oregon University, and now the University of Oregon, Every Nation Campus (ENC) chapters, all of which helped me recognized my calling as a campus missionary.
I am serving with Grace City Church of Eugene as a Campus Missionary with ENC at the University of Oregon. I am passionate about reaching students, spreading the Gospel, and bringing heaven down to campus.
I will engage students with the gospel; establish them in faith through the Word and community; equip them for ministry and empower them to spread the gospel and make disciples. My heart is to evangelize on campus and to pursue students intentionally, establish relationships with students by allowing safe spaces and open dialogue to talk about faith in pursuing a relationship with Jesus as well as intentional discipleship and overseeing outreaches.
Thank you so much for partnering with me. Your gifts and sacrifices are what make it possible for me to go out and fulfill the calling that God has placed on my life. Go Ducks!
