What does our next generation of leaders look like? What will be their dreams, ambitions, and ideals? What will they pioneer? How will they shape the nations in the coming years? Will they pursue their own vision for humanity or pursue God’s? How will they respond when God asks as He did in Isaiah 6, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Will they say “Here I am, send me”, or will they live for their own glory?
The college campus is a breeding ground for the future leaders of our society. During this time, students are reflecting on the meaning of life and what their purpose is in it. Their world views are being challenged and all the while they are being exposed to the “party culture” that so easily derails them. Sadly enough, this is the place where most Christians lose their faith or walk further away from the church.
At East Carolina University, I am a part of a team that reaches out to 28,000 students with the Gospel. We disciple students and raise up the leaders that will not only take a stand for Christ while in college but even after they graduate.
