Hello!
My name is Ben Philips, and I was blessed to grow up in the church and to always hear about Jesus. When I went to the University of Texas Tech, I got connected to every nation's campus and was pushed to have a deeper, more established relationship with God because I was now living on my own.
As time went on, I quickly realized that I felt called to ministry and had a huge heart for missions. I found myself thinking that if I were to end up with a job other than ministry, I wouldn't feel at peace and that I wasn't doing what I was called to or even what I wanted to do. I quickly found myself surrounded by more and more friends of different nations while at Tech, getting to do life with them as friends and learn about their culture. I was told by many different leaders of mine about this great opportunity that I now get to be a part of Life Year, I will be doing ministry in another nation for a year, serving with one foot on the campus and one in the community. This is in hopes of going full-time as a cross-cultural missionary at the end of the year.
I can't thank you enough for your support and care in the Great Commission; none of this would be possible without you!
Have a blessed day.
