My name is Akkey and I have the honor of serving the campuses of Yokohama. I received Jesus when I was a college student thanks to a campus missionary from Hawaii. As I got to know God's love for me, my desire to serve him began to grow. And because of that, I now serve as a campus missionary.
My passion and desire are to share with people how much God loves them.
In Japan, the Japanese have a difficult time expressing their feelings. Which results in the tendency of enduring their stress and various pressures on their own. Due to social pressure and bias thoughts, many people choose to hide their true feelings and emotions. This issue is one of the main causes of suicides in Japan. The suicide rates in Japan are very high.
There are so many people who have no hope, who feel that they have no meaning in life or purpose. Therefore I want to be used by God to bless these people.
Every week I go to various campuses to serve the community. As I serve the community, I can build relationships with many students. Through these relationships, I can share the Gospel with them. One of my priorities is to disciple students for Jesus. I personally spend time with them, encourage them to follow Jesus, fellowship with spiritual family and fish for people.
Thank you so much for being a part of something so much bigger by partnering with Every Nation and me to spread the Gospel and change the campus.
